Why
Die Hard is on my top 10?
Die
Hard is the definitive action film of all time. Every element in the film
to me was close to perfect. The hero is afraid to die, and the villain
is smart and you respect him. At times you want the villain to win. John
McClane became a hero that every guy can relate to, which helps draw the
auidience into the story. Many films have tried to copy what was there,
but they seem to miss out on what director John McTeirnan put onto film.
McTiernan Himself couldn't recapture it with Die Hard 3.
Best
Screenplay?
There
is no way to choose the best, but Good Will Hunting is one that inspired
me to write past my first screenplay.
